Methi Matar Malai

Not all Indian curries have to be hot and spicy. Enjoy this sweet, rich and creamy recipe with fresh fenugreek leaves

    Onion

    Ginger garlic paste

    ¼ cup cashew soaked

    ½ cup fresh cream

    peas

    garam masala.

    Method

    In a kadai, heat some oil and add cumin seeds

    Prepare a masala paste with 1 sliced onion, 2 chillis, oil,1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and ¼ cup soaked cashews

    Add the prepared masala paste into the kadai and let it saute until the oil separates

    Add in chopped methi leaves and saute for 2 minutes

    Add 1 cup water and ½ cup cream and mix it well

    Add in peas, a pinch of sugar and salt

    Cover and boil for 8-10 minues for the peas to cook well

    Finally add ¼ tbsp

    garam masala and mix well

    Adjust the consistency if required

    Serve and enjoy with naan or roti
